Urajärven kartanomuseota kunnostetaan ja
museo alueineen avautuu yleisölle näillä näkymin 2011. Vältä
kartanon piha-alueella liikkumista. Kätkö ja maisemat ovat
paikallaan toivottamassa kätköilijät tervetulleiksi.
”Pojat, kaadatte tästä rungot kymmenen metrin leveydeltä –
rantaan saakka. Tehdään tähän Suomen kaunein näköala.” Valhallan
laella seistessään voi mielessään kuvitella, miten kartanonisäntä
Hugo von Heideman on käynnistänyt Valhallan, upean wagneriaanisen
näköalatasanteen rakennustyöt. Hugo ja sisarensa Lilly olivat
suuria kauneuden ja kulttuurien ystäviä 1800-luvun taitteessa.
Häivähdys tästä on aistittavissa Urajärven kartanomuseon
idyllisissä maisemissa. Päijät-Hämäläisen järvimaiseman
ympäröimä
Urajärven kartano kuului lähes kaksi ja puoli vuosisataa von
Heidemanin suvulle. Kartanon empiretyylisessä päärakennuksessa on
sisarusten Lilly ja Hugo von Heidemanin koti 1900-luvun alusta.
Urajärven kartanossa on myös romanttinen englantilaistyylinen
puisto, jota koristavat eläinveistokset, raunioportit, sillat ja
tekosaaret. Urajärven kartanomuseo on yksi maamme vanhimmista
kartanomuseoista, joka avasi ovensa yleisölle jo vuonna 1928 Hugon
ja Lillyn toiveen mukaisesti.

Hugo-herran polku –kätkön koordinaatit johdattavat sinut
Valhallaan ihailemaan maisemia. Tasanteen tietämiltä löydät
filmipurkista koordinaatit toiselle kätkölle, jonka löytöpaikalla
lausu hiljaisesti toive, perimätiedon mukaan se toteutuu aikanaan.
Kätkön miljöö on parhaimmillaan kesäsäässä, jolloin myös museo on
avoinna, mutta toki saavutettavissa myös talvisaikaan.
Hyvällä onnella (?) saatat kohdata kartanon vanhan emännän
haamun - Valkoisen Rouvan, jonka on säännöllisesti nähty
edelleenkin vaeltelevan alueella.

Urajärvi manor museum is closed during
renovations and the museum with surroundings will be open for
visitors again at 2011. Please, avoid going to the gardens of the
manor. Still, the cache and the scenery are there waiting for the
visitors.
”Now, let's cut all logs from here to the lake shore. I want to
make here the most beautiful view in Finland” As you stand on top
of Valhalla, one can imagine how the Landlord has set the words for
Valhalla, a splendid vista point.
Hugo von Heidemann and his sister Lilly were great admirers of
beauty and cultures at the end of 18th century. One can sense a
touch about that around the idyllic atmosphere of Urajärvi
mansion.
Surrounded by the lakes of Häme province, Urajärvi Manor
belonged to the von Heideman family for nearly 250 years. The
Empire-style main building comprises the early 20th-century home of
brother and sister Hugo and Lilly von Heideman. The manor also has
a romantic garden in English style, decorated with animal figures,
gate ruins, bridges and artificial islands. A pleasant path leads
to a splendid vista point known as Valhalla.
The Urajärvi mansion museum is one of the oldest mansion museums
in Finland. It was opened as early as 1928 and since then it has
been open for public during summer times.

Land lord Hugo’s footpath coordinates lead you to Valhalla to
see the views. At the vista point you find the second cache’s
coordinates. When you find it, please, recite a wish. According to
traditions all the wishes recited at the place of cache come true
sooner or later.
The milieu is at its best and the museum is open during summer
time, but the cache is naturally reachable also during winter
time.
If you are lucky (?), you may meet the ghost of the old lady of
the house - The White Lady. She is still wandering around the
area.
