Kasumigaura Water(Kokai River Water Pipe Bridge)
For Kasumigaura Water, we established a system for supplying agricultural water, tap water and industrial water in a comprehensive and stable manner to the 17 cities and towns in the southwestern part of the prefecture, using Kasumigaura, which has abundant water, and promoted the creation of a rich community. In addition, it is a comprehensive water business that aims to enhance life and industrial infrastructure.
The water pumped up from Kasumigaura is temporarily stored in the Minami Shiio adjustment pond (Lake Tsukushi) in Sakuragawa City through the pipeline. After that, it is transported to the Higashiyamata Regulating Pond, about 70km away from Kasumigaura, through the pipeline again under natural flow.
The Kokai River Water Pipe Bridge is a bridge dedicated to the waterway where the Kasumigaura Water Pipeline crosses the Kokai River (upstream of Kuroko Bridge). It is made of two large steel pipes with a length of about 260m and a diameter of 2m. It weighs about 840 tons.
This facility has features such as "the bridge and the waterway are not separated (generally there are many structures where the waterway is on the bridge)", "both ends are curved" And the shape also takes into account the scenery overlooking Mount Tsukuba.

霞ヶ浦用水（小貝川水管橋）
霞ヶ浦用水は、豊かな水量を持つ霞ヶ浦を取水源に、県西南部17市町の地域に農業用水、水道用水及び工業用水を総合的、安定的に供給する体制を確立し、豊かな地域作りを推進するとともに、生活及び産業基盤の充実を図ることを目的とした総合用水事業です。
霞ヶ浦から汲み上げられた水は、パイプラインを通って桜川市にある南椎尾調整池（つくし湖）で一旦貯水されます。その後、自然流下で再びパイプラインを通って、霞ヶ浦からおよそ70Km離れた東山田調整池まで運ばれてきます。
ここ小貝川水管橋は、霞ヶ浦用水のパイプラインが小貝川（黒子橋上流）を横断する水路専用の橋で、長さは約２６０ｍ、水路部分は直径２ｍの大型鉄製パイプ２本で造られており、 重さは約８４０トンあります。
この施設は、「橋と水路が分かれていないこと（一般的には橋の上に水路が乗っているような構造が多い）」、 「管路が一直線ではなく両端部分が曲線となっていること」等の特徴があります。そして、筑波山を望む景観にも配慮した形状となっています。
