Geocache Description:

Above the historical marker.

The cache is a white canister. This spot is one of my favorites because it's a crossroads - where the Pacific Crest Trail meets Highway 178. Whenever I drive this stretch of road I think of the early settlers making their way across the desert and up these hills with no roads to help them. It's a wonderful area in the spring when the wildflowers are showing off.
