Look, don't touch!
This area is commonly called Big Rock, however it is an exposed portion of the Pictured Cliffs sandstone formation, which is a natural gas bearing formation. As you explore this virtual cache the name, Pictured Cliffs, will become apparent.
Follow Highway 64 to N36 45.348, W108 26.180 and park in the area off the highway right-of-way. Go outside the fence and proceed to the cache coordinates.
Because of the close proximity to the cliffs, the satellite accuracy is sometimes "iffy". The coordinates given should get you within 30-40 feet of the actual location. Look at the cliffs, where a chute will be apparent (behind the large arrowhead-shaped rock). On each face of the chute you will find petroglyphs pecked into the rock.
To claim this cache, e-mail a picture or a description of the petroglyph to your left. Don't post your answer or picture here.
Once you have found the cache information, you can continue on around to the West and see more of what makes these cliffs "pictured"!
