A lovely place to see The Bellapais Abbey.
Located in the heart of the charming village of Bellapais, the Tree of Idleness restaurant is situated under a 200 year old Robenia tree. This is the same tree under which author Lawrence Durrell wrote his autobiographical book “Bitter Lemons of Cyprus”. The romance of the characters living in Bellapais where Durrell bought a house in the beauty of the mountain ranges. The tree confers the gift of pure idleness on all who sit under it. The cache is a black nano so pen/pencil required to log your visit. Due to being a highly visited place, a photo of the tree will suffice to gain the log.
