Geocache Description:

This cache is medium sized lock-n-lock container with a log book, pencil and collector's cards.

False Cape State Park is located in the southeast corner of Virginia on a barrier split nestled between Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge in North Carolina. Parking is available at the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. It is part of what is often referred to as "Virginia's Outer Banks." Access to False Cape is obtained by hiking or biking through Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge or by boating across Back Bay. The terrain and difficulty are rated high due to the length of the hike or bike. I recommend bringing plenty of water, a snack, bug repellant, sunscreen, camera, map, compass, spare batteries, cellphone and a sense of adventure.

Cache is in a highly sensitive area for nature and history as well. Please be respectful of the area, stick to the trails and NO BUSHWACKING.
