I have set up a series of 6 different waypoints for this multi –
all in Josten Park – meant for walking – or possibly riding a
mountain bike. The tree-cover here may play tricks with your GPS.
Bring a pencil (and perhaps a calculator for the first step?) to
work a few things out along the way.
The coordinates above will take you to a “periscope.” Turn it as
far left as it will go and look through. Although it will be
difficult to see what you are looking at, you will be looking at a
house. For the coordinates of WP2, Subtract 1846 from the address
of the house to get the rest of N 44° 27.xxx and subtract 2256.97
from the address to get the rest of W087° xx.xxx (do you remember
how to “borrow” when you subtract decimals? For WP2, you are
looking for a metal hook that has no business being there. There is
some hard-to-read writing on the hook. On the side with USA written
on it, there is a bigger capital letter. Using A=1, B=2, C=3, etc.,
plug in the value for that letter in N 44° 27.x08. Then flip the
hook over and read the other side. There is a very hard-to-see
fraction on that side. Add the two digits of the fraction to get
W087° 58.xx2.
WP3 is pretty straight forward. I recommend NOT using the hint
for a little more of a challenge as it will definitely make the
find much easier.
The coordinates for WP4 are in the micro-cache at WP3. You will
be lead up a trail (that splits in many directions) into a wooded
area. The cache you are looking for is about 12 feet off a trail.
You are looking for a pint-sized camouflaged container.
WP5 should be an easy find. There are only a couple reasonable
places to look.
The Final is a well hidden camouflaged container. Please
carefully return the Final as you found it, the best you can. If
you have problems, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to redo it.
*The original Final was taken so it is now in a completely
different spot.
Hints for WP3 through the Final are written backwards in case you
don't want to see them all at once.
The park is rather hilly and I estimate you’ll walk about a
mile. It should take an hour, perhaps, give or take. I'll try to
make it a worthy adventure :-)
Have fun!
Congratulations Cachelovskys and TKKS for the
co-FTF!
