Britt Nicole, born in Kannapolis in August 1984, is a vocalist, songwriter, and recording artist. She is mainly noted as a Christian pop artist, but she has had her debut single in 2012 and another single in 2013 show up in the Mainstream Top 40.
Britt began singing in her church, Truth Temple of Kannapolis, at the age of three. Britt was also a talented dancer, taking ballet, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical. She performed at Carnegie Hall in New York as a member of her high school’s advanced choir group.
Britt was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2011 Dove Awards and Best Contemporary Christian Music Album at the 2013 Grammy Awards.
