The periodic table of elements is a tabular display of the
chemical elements and provides a framework to classify,
systematize, and compare all of the many different forms of
chemical behavior. The table has found many applications in
chemistry, physics, biology, and engineering. The current
“standard” table contains 118 elements. However, you
will only have to find a minimum of 12 caches with the full name of
the element or precursor and 13 different caches with the one or
two letter abbreviations. Yes, this is a total of 25 elements you
will need to list in two forms (see example below).
For example you can use “Coral Calcium” as a full name but you could not
then use “Oilport, CA aka
Sunset Palisades” as one of the two letter abbreviated
elements. The abbreviations must all be different. Also, they
must be ONLY the one or two letter abbreviations like CA above. No
“Europe” for “Eu” etc.
I did a search of the element names and there are a good number
of caches to choose from throughout the state to fulfill the
requirements. Plus, I have started adding a few puzzles with
elements wrapped up in them.
In addition to finding the elemental names and abbreviations
please find at least (6) different types of caches or categories
(icons) when posting your finds. (Traditional, Multi, Unknown,
Letterbox, Web, Virtual, Events. etc). This gives the challenge
an extra star boost to the difficulty.

You have no time limit on finding the caches. In fact, you may
have already completed the cache requirements. But, if you
haven’t… now you have some target caches to find.
When logging this cache, list your requisite caches with the
cache name, gc#, date found, and type of cache as identified
below:
