In den Jahren 1809-1813 wurden viele Franzosen,Italiener und Tiroler auf diesen Feldern durch blutige Kämpfe getötet und auch dort begraben
Ein kleines Denkmal erinnert heute an die schrecklichen Kämpfe.

Wegbeschreibung:
Ein kurzer Drive-In am Radweg zwischen Lienz und der Wartschenbachsiedlung.
Der Weg führt von Lienz aus über die Mienekugel Richtung Debant.(asphaltiert)
Autofahrer Achtung: Beachtet bitte das Fahrverbot. Durchfahrt nicht gestattet.

Der Cache ist ein kleiner zylindrischer Behälter. Kleinere Items sollten darin schon Platz haben.

History:
In the years 1809-1813 many French, Italians and Tyroleans on these fields were killed by bloody fights. A little  monument reminded today to the awful fights.

Road description:

A short drive in in the cycle track between Lienz and the Wartschenbachsiedlung. The way leads from Lienz about the Mienekugel in direction Debant.  (asphalts)
driver attention: notable please the ban on driving. Way through does not permit.
