Denne lille serie i Lyngbakkerne i Gl. Rye vil vise dig lidt rundt i områder, fortælle lidt om planter og insekter samt give dig mulighed for at hjælpe lidt med plejen af området. Ryk gerne et lille Birketræ op eller tramp på nogle Ørnebregner. Husk: bakkerne og arealet må gerne betrædes, men dyrene må ikke fodres eller skræmmes, respekter hegnet og brug lågerne.

Spidsplettet Libel
Spidsplettet Libel er relativ sjælden i Danmark, men den findes dog i områder med meget rent vand. Den findes i Silkeborg Ry området og få andre steder i Danmark. I Lyngbakkerne er den meget almindelig i perioden maj til juli. Her søger primært hunnen op i Lyngbakkerne for at søge føde til ægproduktionen for senere at vende tilbage til vandområderne ved Gudenåen hvor hannerne venter og æggene ligges.
Spidsplettet Libel lever som larve i vandet et par år inden den bliver til en Guldsmed som lever fra maj til juni.
Den er kendetegnet ved pletterne på spidsen af vingerne – dog mest udbred hos hunnen.

Cachen er placeret efter aftale med Naturfond Gl Rye.

This small cache series will show you around in the Lyngbakkerne in Gl. Rye and tell a bit on the plant and insects you might see. Further, it gives you an opportunity to help taking care of the area by pulling up a small Birch tree or tamp on some Eagle fern. Remember that the hills and the arear may be walked on, but do not feet the animals, respect the fences and use the gates.

Scarce chaser
Scarce chaser is rare in Denmark, but can be found in areas with very clean water. It is found in the Silkeborg - Ry area and a few other places in Denmark. In the Lyngbakkerne it is quite common from May to July. The female is in the Lyngbakkerne to search for foot for the egg production. Later is go back to the water area at the Gudenå where the male is waiting and it lay the eggs.
Scarce chaser lives in the water in a couple of years before it become flying and lives from May through July. It is recognized by the spot on the tip of the wing – most visible for the female.

The cache is placed in agreement with the Nature fond Gl. Rye.
