Famous Fowl Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Trailerman: Having to replace this cache over seven times in seven years has worn me out. So I have decided to archive it and let someone else place a cache in the vicinity.

Thanks to all those who hunted this cache.

Geocache Description:

Easy access micro-cache that takes you to a famous landmark. NO LOG NEEDED FOR THIS CACHE! Email owner with "message" in the cache to get credit for a find.

There is a landmark in my little town that is world famous. I have met folks from all over who know this place by its nickname. It is referred to on radio, television, in person to person conversations, over the telephone and on maps as a reference for directions to anywhere you need to go.

However, there are some people who have never been to this landmark, so this cache is placed to give those folks an opportunity to see the wonder that started thirty-odd years ago.

Find this cache and email me the message in the cache to get credit for the find. No need to log on a piece of paper. As usual, please do not put the message in your log.

There are several web pages that you can visit to learn more about this landmark. Once you have figured out what the landmark is, do a search on its nickname to find them. I won’t give them here so I can add little mystery to the cache.

Go inside the landmark for some special enjoyment, including a rest stop, food, refreshment or a chance to sit down next to a famous Kentucky Colonel! (It is not necessary to go inside to find the cache).

This cache is VERY, VERY small, and the hidey place is very subtle. Do not plan to leave anything – not even a sticker. And there is nothing to take -- especially the plastic thing the message is written on. Be careful when you retrieve and re-hide the cache so you are not observed and so you don’t lose the message thing.
