Geocache Description:

A few caches along the South County Trail.  Trying to continue on with H2"O"s great work on the North County Trail.
A nice walk on the paved trail.  Even a chance to learn a little history of the location. Bring your own pen.

The South County Trailway is a 14.1-mile (22.7 km) long trail stretching from Van Cortlandt Park in The Bronx to Elmsford in Westchester, NY. Construction started in the 1990s and was completed in 2011.  Most sections of the trailway are paved.

Poison Ivy is very common along this trail, but I did my best to avoid it.

The cache is a camoed bison tube.  You will not need to leave the path.
Near GZ you will see an informational post providing a history of the Putnam Division Railroad.  At this location the NEPERA PARK Station once stood.

Parking is available at the posted coordinates.  There is also local street parking where you can find it.  The local businesses are very serious about their parking lots here, so be warned.
