Geocache Description:

Mount Lady MacDonald Summit Ridge is located as the name suggests on the summit ridge leading to Mount Lady MacDonald. Travel to the cache site involves travel across steep terrain with loose rocks, exposed tree roots, and over 1100 metres of elevation gain. Careful planning, care and attention is a must at all times on this hike / easy scramble.

The Short Walk to the Summit Ridge

Mount Lady MacDonald Summit Ridge is an authentic regular sized LnL container with only a cache note, logbook and pencils. The cache was placed along the summit ridge leading to Mount Lady MacDonald.

Scenery Along the Trail

Please note the cache was carefully placed away from any immediate exposure and should only be considered an easy scramble from the Tea House. When heading up from the Tea House stay right of the prominent knob towards the summit and you will find firm packed scree on switchbacks. On the way down find the soft scree trails to deliver you back to the Tea House.

The Sporty Little Ridge to the Summit

The cache is a little less than 600 metres from the Tea House, but requires an additional elevation gain of 250 metres.

Come on out and enjoy the amazing views offered along this fine ridge top. You can even enjoy a sporty little walk to the summit - good luck and play safe!
