This cache was placed was palced for the 2008 CT Georally by The Marblettes. However, do to problems beyond are control, it was canceled.
Scheneck's Island, though technically not an island, receives such a designation due to the fact that the Norwalk river to the west and south and the railroad tracks to the east, isolate it like and island. The Norwlak river along this island is considered a "special trout fishing area". There are several trails around the island as well as some picnic tables.
