This is cache is part of a series celebrating Strasburg, Virginia's 250th Birthday! And ironically, we placed it on DoctorMatt's birthday too!
Strasburg, Virginia is a wonderful community with a rich cultural and military history. The sight of Stonewall Jackson's "Great Train Raid", the town also played a pivotal part in several Civil war engagements, the greatest of which was the Battle of Cedar Creek. It was this battle that clenched reelection for President Abraham Lincoln over George McClellan.
You're best off visiting this cache after 6:30 PM when most of the nearby businesses are closed. Otherwise, you'll have dozens of teeny, tiny muggles to worry about.
Coordinates were verified on two GPS enabled devices. However, high winds and overcast skies may tamper with accuracy. If the first few finders could include their coordinates as well in their comments, that would be helpful to everyone. Thanks!
