This was originally another Christmas biscuit tin cache, hence the cache name. That went missing so has been replaced with cammo bag and initially populated with Christmas themed swappables - feel free to add keep the theme going! You'll you'll find evergreens and sea holly scattered through the dunescape to add some authenticity to the name too! In fact there's all sorts of unexpected plant life in and around the dunes. On the day I planted the cache, the hawthorns were just coming into bloom and there were even daffodils growing along the fringes. As I replaced it the sea holly was coming through, blue-silver in the sand.
Worth exploring further than this little corner (if you can extract any junior cachers from the playpark that is) and wandering the dunes themselves. There's a myraid of little pathways to interesting nooks, to collect pretty driftwood or head down to the beach itself. The new boardwalk isn't far and leads to a good vantage point. (And the "boards" are really recycled plastic so green too!)
