Esta cache tem este nome porque este local é conhecido, pelos habitantes locais, como a "Pastelaria". Para reforçar esta ideia, encontrámos a “pasteleira”, com morfologia tipicamente serrana, que se encontra a descansar, há incontáveis anos, enquanto vigia o vale.
Este local, designado por “Portela de Famalicão” é uma das entradas para Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela.
Deste miradouro natural pode ver-se o vale que se encaminha para o majestoso Vale do Zêzere, para Manteigas e, por sua vez, para o maciço central da Serra, que se avista ao fundo na paisagem. Do lado oposto pode ver-se o vale que se encaminha para Norte, com a Barragem do Caldeirão, ao fundo.
A Serra da Estrela, pela sua massa e altitude – 1993 metros – é a principal montanha portuguesa. Nela nascem os rios Mondego, Zêzere e Alva. É um local de (ainda alguns) pastores, de queijo e de gentes humildes que gostam de bem receber.
Durante todo o ano a natureza tem paisagens fantásticas para oferecer: na Primavera, a floresta enche-se de verde, flores e pequenas cascatas; no Verão aparecem os frutos e todas as cores e os percursos de água fazem as delícias dos turistas; no Outono os castanheiros enchem a paisagem de cor e ouriços e no Inverno, reina a neve e as melhores cores no céu!
A cache, é quase “drive in”, com um percurso de 50 metros em “todo o terreno”. É um recipiente normal, de tamanho médio e encontra-se atrás da almofada da “pasteleira”.

This cache has this name because this place is known, by locals, as the "Pastry." On the nearest mountain we can find the "old baker's" figure (which has a typical morphology of mountain's people) in resting, while watching the valley since countless years.
This place, called "Portela de Famalicão", is one of the main entrances to the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela (Star Mountain).
From this natural viewpoint you can see the valley, that heads to the majestic Zêzere river valley, to Manteigas village and to the central massif of the “Star mountain”, which can be seen in the background landscape.
The Serra da Estrela, by its mass and altitude - 1993 meters - is the main mountain in Portugal. It gives birth to the known rivers Mondego, Zêzere and Alva. It is a place with (even some) shepherds, cheese and humble people who usually does a warm welcome.
During the year, nature has to offer fantastic sceneries: in the spring, the forest is filled with green, flowers and small waterfalls; in summer, the fruits and all the bright colors appear and the water routes are the delight of locals and tourists; in the autumn chestnut trees fill the landscape with color and hedgehogs and in winter reigns snow and the best colors in the sky! The cache is almost "drive in", with a distance of 50 meters in "all terrain". It is a normal container, medium size and located behind the cushion of the "old baker".
