This cache is located close to the summit of Grey Mountain which is a short drive from Whitehorse. The altitude of the cache is 1467 metres, according to my Etrex, whose altitude readings are sometimes inaccurate.
There is a road that goes up most of the mountain, the turn onto the road is located at N60.42.649, W135.01.729 You can park and start hiking on the side of road anytime you like, as long as you find a spot you can park half off the road, because other cars need to drive by. A 4x4 is suggested if you're planning on driving the whole thing. This is a themed cache. We would like you to bring interesting rocks from where you live, wherever that is. Please take a rock and leave a rock behind. The cache is a tupperware container, approximately 14 by 8 by 8 inches. It will fit most rocks you can hold in your hand. The walk we took was 2 km in and 2 km out with an elevation gain and drop of about 200 metres. The trail is well defined in most spots. Enjoy the view! We suggest a picnic at the cache site.
