This geocache is dedicated to my wonderful new
“Honey”. We met just 2 months prior to my placing this
cache here. Somewhat oddly, we met each other on a blind date while
geocaching with friends. We’ve been together since and yeah,
we’re definitely feeling that we’re on top of the
world. And now were happily married! Geocaching; who would have
known?
The trail leaves the parking area and follows a short distance
along a right of way into the reservation. Stay to the right at the
first trial junction (#20) and onto the overlook area. The listed
coordinates will bring you to a sitting bench at the overlook. Take
a break here and enjoy the scenery with your loved one, be it your
honey, your kids or maybe your dog. If it’s a breezy day, and
if someone hasn’t stolen it, you might hear the small wind
chime I placed in a tree not far away.
The last 3 digits of the coordinates for the final cache are
located on the back of the sitting bench, in two locations (just in
case). The final cache is located further on down the trail, just a
minute or two away and about 100 feet off the trail.
>>> Update: We’ve been informed that the bench
where the coordinates are located for the final cache has fallen to
pieces on the ground. For now, the coordinates listed are for the
final cache.
After you’ve found the cache, continue on down the trail
to loop back to the parking area. A 0.9 mile walk (total, including
finding the cache), it’ll take just a few minutes longer to
get back to the parking area this way. Turn left @ junctions #16,
17 & 19 and right at junction #20 back to the parking area on
Chestnut Hill Road.
Enjoy the scenery, but don’t forget the bug spray &
water bottle. Check for ticks when you get back to the car.
