Dönerstag in Milwaukie: Kebab On Over Event Cache

Dönerstag began in 2007 when German cachers met at kebab shops around the country all at the same time. This year marks their 11th Annual event, always held on a Thursday. In German, this makes the name “Dönerstag” a pun: The German word for Thursday is “Donnerstag.” Kebab translates to “Döner.”

Unfortunately, we couldn't find a kebab shop here in Milwaukie, but we can meet here at Tebo's and take a stab at some fun - just like thousands of other geocachers will do all over the world today. We will have a log to sign, a short little something fun, and a few give away prizes. So shave some time off your calendar and join us for dinner, or just come and enjoy each other's spicy company (purchasing food is not required). We will be in the reserved side room at the far side of the restaurant. We will try not to be too punny on this Thursday.
