The Saddle, a windy nasty place, but what a view...
Image is a view from the saddle to general cache location. There are two possible ways to approach this cache, From the Quarry car-park on the Freeway side of the Gorge, and head down the centenary walk. Bear in mind that at most times of the year you will get wet feet as you will need to cross the river. Apart from this inconvenience, it will probably be the quickest way to get to it, and possibly the easiest (providing the river is reasonably tame at the time of the attempt). My preferred way is to approach from the Car-park at the trestle bridge, and head down the Falcons lookout path to Falcons lookout. From here it is a bush bash to the cache location. Choose your way carefully, and be warned that at one point you will need to climb down a steep rocky face of around two meters (assuming you will take the path of least resistance!!) The walk/climb/descent to the saddle is between two very sharp rocky inclines, but is worth it on more than one level. Some of the views are breathtaking!!! If you are unsure or unwilling to attempt alone, feel free to contact me and time permitting (weekdays are not a good option) I will be more than happy to be your guide to the cache's general vicinity. The cache is a 200ml sistema container.
