Located in the unused Mattatuck State Forest, I'm hoping this cache will get more folks out here to explore the trails and possibly hide some more caches.
The name of the cache came to me when i found the right hiding place. Although the term "Fool's Gold" is officially used for the mineral Pyrite, and these stones are simply discolored mica, I thought it would be fun to make a small 'treasure' cache.
This will be a good cache to go after in the winter as it should be winter friendly, or as a rainy day type cache. It's almost a park and grab, no major hiking, climbing, or bushwacking required.
Container is a medium sized lock-n-lock with treasure inside, and will be very easy to find, even for beginners. Enjoy!
