Geocache Description:

Come one!

Come all!

It’s CITO Week!

You’re invited to the greatest of all CITO Events

ever to be experienced along the Gulf Coast!

You’ve walked to pick up trash…*yawn*

You’ve kayaked to pick up trash…*snore*

Welcome to the first ever

Cycling C.I.T.O.

*HIP HIP HURRAY*

To all of those who are eager to get out into the open air and ride along some of the most picturesque trails and boardwalks…look no further. The Gulf State Park has exactly what you are looking for. The park has brand new boardwalks that will take you into areas never before experienced by cyclists or pedestrians. Get a copy of the park map here: http://mygulfstatepark.com/map/

Want to learn more about the trails in the park? Visit the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry trails here: http://backcountrytrail.com/

Don’t have a bicycle but wanna participate? No worries! There are four nearby places that offer bicycle rentals. Be sure to contact them in advance and reserve your ride.

We will meet up in the parking lot near the Camp Store located within the campground area of the park. Once everyone has been given their CITO bag they are free to go explore in whatever direction they would like. Pair up with a buddy or ride solo…it’s up to you. I will try and obtain maps for those who are interested.

There is a $2.00 entrance fee to get into the campground area if you want to park at GZ.

The event will begin @ 11:30a and last until about 2:00p at which time there will be nourishment in the form of PIZZA back at GZ.
