El pueblo de Miajadas de unos 10.000 habitantes aproximadamente vive del cultivo del tomate y de su proceso en las fábricas de zumo de tomate y tomate frito, por ello han colocado un monumento a este producto consistente en un gran tomate subido a lo alto de una columna, queda muy cerca de la autovía A-5.
