Welcome to the Tri County Corridor!
Welcome to the Tri-County Corridor Trail. 61 miles long, this multi-use trail spans three counties (Douglas, Bayfield and Ashland). The Trail is open to the following activities: ATVs, Bike, Horseback Riding, Mountain Biking, Snowmobiling, and Walking. It is also advertised as a Geocaching Trail on the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy website. It is mostly large size gravel, so a wider tire is recommended if you're biking. The trail generally follows Hwy 2, but there are a few spots where the trail crosses the highway. Please use caution!!
The trail needs a CITO event! We will focus on the area closest to Superior, and assign small sections of the trail to each person/pair. We will meet in the parking lot at the trail head, where you can grab trash bags and will be assigned a section of trail. If you have an ATV, feel free to bring it! If you are physically unable to walk a mile, but would be willing to shuttle people to their section and back, please let me know!
BRING YOUR TOTTS - A 15-20 FOOT POLE WILL DO NICELY. WE WILL ASK YOU TO SWAP OUT OLD LOGS FOR REPLACEMENT LOGS ALONG THE TRAIL AS YOU'RE WALKING PAST THE CHALLENGES. AT THE END OF THE CITO, YOUR NAME (AS PART OF THE CITO CREW) WILL BE IN EACH HIDE - AND YOU CAN LOG A FIND IF YOU QUALIFY, OR POST A NOTE UNTIL YOU DO!
