There are several private property signs in the vicinity of the cache. This is due to a long running dispute between the Redwood Shores Owners Association (which claims to own the shore and lagoon bottom out from shore about 50'), and Redwood City (which claims to own the lagoon surface up to the edge of the water). No one is going to question your presence in this area.
