Geocache Description:

Cache In Trash Out

CITOCache In Trash Out® (CITO) is an environmental initiative supported by the geocaching community. Since 2002, CITO has helped preserve the natural beauty of cache-friendly spaces. In that time, more than 240,000 people have volunteered at 11,000 CITO events.

Attending a CITO Event

At CITO events, geocachers and community groups work together to improve parks and other outdoor environments. They clean up litter, plant trees, remove invasive species, build trails, and more.

It is time to give back. While we typically do not hide geocaches near schools, we can still have an impact. During the summer hours we have a great opportunity to work with our local school district and help give a thorough cleaning to the grounds. This is done with permission from and as a request by district officials. Let's show the community what impact geocachers can have.

This event is at Cottonwood Plains Elementary School

525 Turman Drive, Fort Collins, CO 80535, USA

Time: 1700-1800

Bags and pickup provided by the school district.
