Geocache Description:

Throughout Manson there are big cement 'boxes' that were used to hold water for irrigation of apples and other crops in the area.  The 'water boxes', or cisterns, were located on the corner of most every parcel in the area that needed irrigated.  Look for one of these on Upper Joe Creek Road, but not too far up!  If you get to Kinsey Road, turn around and go back down the hill.  It is very visible, but if you go to fast, you may miss it!

The location of this cache is where the water sat before irrigating crops. It is near an apple orchard, but not in it! It is similar to what the water of the surrounding lakes looks like at certain times of day.  It may be a reach to get the cache, but it is very visible.  You will get a great view of Wapato Lake with Slide Ridge in the background.  In the mornings and evenings, this view can be spectacular in all seasons!
