As you will see the parking is in two distinct levels. If you are in a car with limited clearance it might be best not to try and get to close, very short walk anyway.
This hide is located at the sportsman’s access, where folks watch boats run Trap Creek Rapid, on the Day Stretch of the Salmon River. I am not sure if the rapid was named after the creek or visa versa, because at summer type river flows a fairly tough reversal forms right in the middle of the channel. This can not be seen from the top of the rapid unless scouted from the bank and can make for interesting viewing as well as boating. You are looking for a half gallon container.
