Gate Six-and-a-Half Road Traditional Cache
honuteam: After replacing this cache twice in as many months we've decided that someone doesn't like it being here. Too bad... folks seemed to like it.

Cache is above the waterline at all tide levels.
Parking nearby to the north. Heavily populated area, especially on weekends.
In this part of Sausalito, there are a number of "Gate" streets, Gate Six and a Half being the northern-most. These designations refer to locations in the Marinship Shipyard, where Liberty Ships were built during WWII- 93 were built here in all. A few of the old buildings from the shipyard are still around the north end of Sausalito. You can visit the Bay Model, a bit south of here on Bridgeway, for an excellent exhibit on what the shipyard looked like.
