Scrlttohra: This series has had a good run, but I think it’s time to open this area back up to some new woodsy hides.

Geocache Description:

September 2013: MikeyB and I have adopted this series from BAT. As part of the adoption, we have gone out and replaced all containers with a variation of small lock-n-lock style containers. Everything is currently in place and ready to find. However, at the time of the adoption, we had actual coords of all the caches, but not the clues. We have then had to change all the clues for the triad caches and for Hole 19. What does this mean to finders that would like to finish the series? Just e-mail us and within a few days, we will e-mail you back the new clues for the caches that you have found. Any questions...also just e-mail us. We are honored to be able to carry on the tradition of this iconic style of caching...enjoy!!

This is a mini-series placed for the The 10th Annual Chicagoland Geocachers Picnic and Pig Roast

Welcome to Deer Grove Preserve.  Time to tee up folks and enjoy a game of "Geo-Golf". All hides are hidden traditionally and here you will find Cache #12 of 19 and this cache contains partial coordinates for #19

Most of us have heard of or actually hunted the infamous series (and now archived ) "Geo-Golf", a classic in its own right which was the start of Geocaching in "Triads" in the Chicago area.  Well this is simply a resurrection of this great series!

In this series of 19 caches you will be looking for a variety of containers andcan be done in triads, or all at once.  For those of you that are new to "Triads", the concept is simple.  The first two caches (each of the twelve regular caches in this case) have half the coordinates for one of the mystery caches (i.e. find #1 and #2 and you will have the actual coords for #3, etc.).  The first 6 mystery caches contain the coordinates for the final cache (#19), in the series.

We have tried to locate this in an area that was conducive to all, be it alone or in a group, on foot or on bike, with what we hope you find to be convenient parking.  Good luck and have fun!  If you attack the whole series at once it would be interesting to see what your time is, feel free to include that in your log.  We hope you enjoy this series as much as us Old Duffers and I did planning and placing it for you!

Special thanks to MaryEagle55 (and Tom) for their assistance in placing this series, we could not have done it without them!
