ENGLISH (Italiano più in basso) The Cartelli installations, create by the two Ticino artists Andreas Gysin e Sidi Vanetti, distort the use of street signs. The signs are composed on walls to create new forms, suggested by the geometry of the original signs. The “no issue” signs are e.g. assembled to form a spine. The street signs, with their concrete function and universal meaning, are transformed into artistic expressions dedicated to pedestrians. About the Cache: To find the coordinates of the final cache, visit the waypoints and gather the following information:

ITALIANO Le installazioni Cartelli, realizzate dai due artisti ticinesi Andreas Gysin e Sidi Vanetti, consistono in una rilettura dei segnali stradali. I cartelli stradali vengono disposti sui muri della città in modo da creare delle forme suggerite dalla geometria stessa dei cartelli. Ad esempio i cartelli di “vicolo cieco” sono assemblati in modo da rappresentate una cerniera o una spia dorsale. I cartelli, con la loro funzione concreta e significato universale, vengono qui snaturati e diventano opere artistiche dedicate ai pedoni.
