El Camino
transcurre por un sendero de suave pendiente en su primer tramo de aproximadamente 1.620 m, siendo los últimos 816 m de pendiente más pronunciada. La cota de partida del sendero es de +505,00 msnm (metros sobre el nivel del mar) llegando en su térmmino a la cota +5,00 msnm. El punto de partida se produce antes de llegar al pueblo de Quise siendo el punto de término del mismo la Playa La Cantera, en la cual se encuentra una factoria de embasado de pescado ya abandonada.

El Cache
esta por fuera de la fabrica de pescado. El ultimo tramo hay que saltar las roquas un poco, pero no esta peligroso y resulta que es facil hacerlo - sin equipo especial - Los edificios son de propiedad privada y que es señalada por carteles. El camino hacia la playa es por todo el publico y se puede usarlo. El camino hacia el cache tarda approximadamente una hora para ir y dos horas approx. para volver! Desde el cache hay approx. 5 minutos hacia la playa. Existe tambien la possibilidad llegar a este cache en barco si encuentran un Capitan quien os lleva hacia la bahia de La Cantera desde Valle Gran Rey o Playa de Santiago.
La História
El sendero Quise-Playa La Cantera nace allá por el ano 1831, cuando el emprendedor genovés Francisco Grasso funda la primera factoria en Cantera. Los habitantes de Alajeró y trabajadores de la factoria accedian a la misma por dicho sendero. Durante más de siglo y medio la factoria, productora del 90% del atún en salmuera exportado por La Gomera, fue cambiando de dueno, encontrándose en la actualidad abandonada. No por ella ha perdido el encanto, ya que aún se conservan algunas de las máquinas, oxidadas por el tiempo y el olivado, utilizadas para la conservación del atún.

The trail
is divides in two parts: 1,620 meters of soft slope and 816 meters of pronounced slope. The maximum and minimum elevations are 505 and 5 mamsl, respectively. The trail starts just before the village called Quise and ends in the Beach of La Cantera, where a factory for the production of tuna in brine used to exist. This factory is now abandoned.

The cache
is located outside the fish factory. For the final you have to climb a little bit, but it's not dangerous and easily do without equipment. The buildings are privately owned, please mind the signs. The path to the beach and the beach itself is public, so it's allowed to walk there. The path to the cache takes up about 1 hour and 2 hours back. From the cache, there are still about 5 minutes to the beach. Alternatively, the cache can also be reached by boat, if you can find a nice boat owner who brings you to the Casas La Cantera.
The history
The Quise-Playa La Cantera trail started to be used as such in around 1831. At that time, Francisco Grasso, genoese entrepreneur of Alajeró and their worker used the trail to access the factory. During more than a century and a half, the factory which produced about 90% of the tuna in brine exported by La Gomera, changed owners. The factory, although currently abandoned, has not loss its appeal: it still conserved its machinery, albeit rusted away by the time and forgetfulness.

Der Weg
besteht aus zwei Teilen. Zunächst geht man 1.620 Meter gemäßigt abwärts und anschließend 816 Meter steiler bergab. Da man diesen Weg wieder zurück gehen muss, benötigt man ausreichend Trinkwasser und eine gute Kondition. Der Wanderweg beginnt direkt vor dem Dorf namens Quise, 505m über NN und endet am Strand von La Cantera. Dort wartet eine Lostplace Fischfabrik auf euch.
Geht bitte diesen Weg nicht alleine! Informiert jemanden, wo ihr unterwegs seid.
Es gibt hier gar keinen bzw. sehr schlechten Handyempfang!
Der Cache
befindet sich außerhalb der Fischfabrik. Das letzte Stück muss etwas geklettert werden, ist aber ungefährlich und ohne Ausrüstung locker machbar. Die Gebäude sind in Privatbesitz und durch Schilder gekennzeichnet. Der Weg zum Strand jedoch ist öffentlich und darf benutzt werden. Der Weg zum Cache dauert ca. 1 Stunde hin und 2 Stunden zurück. Vom Cache aus sind es noch ca. 5 Min. bis zum Strand. Alternativ kann der Cache auch mit dem Boot angefahren werden, wenn man einen netten Bootsbesitzer findet, der einen bis zu den Casas La Cantera bringt.
Die Geschichte
Der Weg zur Playa La Cantera wurde seit 1831 benutzt, um zur Fischfabrik zu gelangen. Die Arbeiter aus Alajeró, die in der Fischfabrik des Unternehmers Francisco Grasso, aus Genua, beschäftigt waren, mussten diesen Weg nutzten, um zu ihrer Arbeitsstelle zu gelangen. Während mehr als 150 Jahren wurden hier 90% des Thunfisches im eigenen Saft konserviert und von La Gomera exportiert. Obwohl die Fabrik inzwischen stillgelegt ist, hat sie an Attraktivität nicht verloren.
