Years ago, I had the pleasure of searching for this cache on Makinson Island. Since no one else seems to come this way very often (except me), I thought I would create an incentive for more visitors.
There is a perimeter trail around the island but the southern portion was closed at the time of my last visit. You will also find picnic tables, campsites, and outhouses.
You are seeking a regular ammo can, about 75' off the main trail through light brush.
