i always knew that car culture was strong in connecticut, and was excited to start going to the various car shows in the area when i first moved here. from the uppity and high-end wesport or greenwich concours events to the nitty-gritty hot rod fall out or rumblers c.c. shows, there is definitely something for everyone...from 19th century steam-cars to 21st century super-cars, you can easily find a show to your liking within an hour or so of fairfield county.
little did i know, however, that one of the best car shows going happens within walking distance of my house, and on a monthly basis no less (at least from april to september)! never in my life have i seen such a high concentration of fine automobiles...and these cars actually get driven! no trailer queens at this show, unless of course the car is not actually street legal...and believe me. plenty of track-only race cars have shown up for this event in the past.
to celebrate this gathering, which is free and open to the public, i decided to place this cache at a location that occasionally becomes its epicenter. come to find it on the right weekend day between 8 and 10(ish) AM, and you'll be treated to a sight of epic proportions...this i promise you! if you happen to find the cache but miss the car show, that's ok...but class "A" licenses will be given to those who find the cache on a show day!
finding the schedule for the show should be easy enough, but finding the cache? that, hopefully, is a little harder...to help you, here are a few of the car makes i've seen so far at this show...Neat, huh?

getting your class "A" license (i.e. finding the cache on a car show day) is no small feat! special recognition goes to cachers with the timing, grace, and dedication needed to do so. so far, one person stands alone in this category, but i encourage others to try!
