This is a relatively easy cache placed at the location used to film the final scenes of the burning of The Wicker Man. The location is lower than the cliffs thus enabling easy filming of the top of the Wicker Man and the sunset which ends the movie. Two stumps of the legs of the Wicker Man still remain. (Cut off short by vandals recently)
Enter through the Holiday Park at Burrow Head. Travel round the whole park and park at N54.40.812, W004.24.576 (Entrance to the park is free) For more of a walk to the cache follow the beautiful coastal path about 1½ miles south east from St Ninian’s Cave Or 2 miles south west from the Isle of Whithorn
With legs akimbo and your back to the sea
The little cache box is easy to see
The cache is hidden in a rock fissure, however no climbing is required
The name of the cache is hopefully the destination of next years Explorer Scout trip
