Geocache Description:

This Japanese Garden was established to provide a tangible and ongoing symbol of the Sister City relationship that has developed between the District of Waitomo and the Tatsuno Town Council in Japan.

Come and walk through this garden that provides a constant reminder of another culture in a far off part of the world, with which the Waitomo district has a close relationship.

This cache replaces our ‘Click goes the Sheers’ cache that celebrated the grand statue  across the road from 2008 to 2014, highlighting local culture – but the box went missing too often, so a micro was inevitable.  We thought this special garden, blocked from having a cache due to proximity to the statue cache deserved a hide, and a micro is probably more appropriate here.

Enjoy looking for a bison tube, hanging in a tree, around eye height – this is not meant to be hard, PLEASE USE THIS FREE HINT AND DON’T DAMAGE THE GARDEN.

Please put it back just as it is described in the hint.

The hint has even more detail – please read it – this hide is intended to bring you to this marvelous garden, and not to be a difficult search.

The cache is hanging on a black zip tie. If you don't find a zip tie, you have not looked at the correct spot. Please do not state the cache is missing if you haven't seen the black zip tie.

Logging Recommendations
This cache, (like most of Radionut50’s hides) is NOT meant to be hard to find – so logs saying ‘easy find’ are pretty meaningless. The reason for this hide is to introduce you to this piece of our country , so logs commenting on your experience are very welcome.
