Bring it on...As the camping season winds down for all but he most ardent of outdoors-folk, the areas where campers have stayed throughout the summer could probably use a little TLC.
Come join us on September 22, 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM at the Stoney Pond State Forest and do your part to keep this area clean and welcoming to campers and cachers alike.
There should be plenty of area where we can get in to pick up the without disturbing anyone who may still be there camping.
I will provide water and bags for returnables and trash.
Please bring along anything that you think might enhance the experience, like Gloves, Pickers, Hand Sanitizer or even refreshments.
Everyone participating will be required to fill out a Limited Use Volunteer Application(provided by the DEC) prior to being allowed to participate in this event. This form is required by the DEC Region 7, Tioughnioga Management Unit.
There should be ample parking at the posted coords. We can meet there and then decide where best to do the clean up.
