Geocache Description:

This CHALLENGE cache lets us celebrate with the cacher that has been quite a distance from their home. To log a FIND on-line you need to create a list of A cache found in EACH 10km radius, one for each year of age, from the closest cache you have placed to your home. This is to a maximum of 10km times the age you turned last, with a Matrix twist.
**Let's make a 650km maximum for the veterans, and a Minimum of 21 years ie, 210 kms, for the 'juniors'.**

The CHALLENGE cache is NOT at the above coordinates, and our leader thought he had found a fantastic hiding spot with a outdoor youth group similar to ours while he was on a recent road trip, but on further checking gave us this spot instead. Go to:

Now for the Fine Print:
1/ So, to reiterate, to log a FIND, please be prepared to list a cache found in each 10km radius from an Active cache you have placed close to where you live. (We don't need to know where you live, just need a reference point to ensure you have completed the CHALLENGE.) So that is a cache found and logged for EACH 10km for EACH year of your age, selecting the one that has the highest Difficulty x Terrain rating (matrix). For example, if 25 years old, then that is 25 caches, going out to 250km from your 'home'/the closest cache YOU have placed to your home. The younger you are, the easier it would be to complete. But, there is a minimum of being at least 21 years of age, and a minimum of 210km distance covered. (The cut-off age for Pathfinders is 16 years of age, so we will post our qualifying 21 caches).

1/a) Exception: after Grahame Cookie's consultation with much more experienced cachers than ourselves, for those who live in the more remote areas, we are proposing his following exception: You may subtract the WHOLE thousand(s) of kilometre(s) off more distant caches to make up for the absence of caches in those required zones, BUT, only up to 25% of the caches submitted could be of that type.
For example, a cache found at 1,252km, or 2,320km, or 3,330km for example only, would have the thousands of kilometres removed, and then the cache would be used for the appropriate remainder zone.

2/ The Difficulty and Terrain ratings are the ones that would be currently listed, and may be different from when you found the applicable cache.

3/ All rules, guidelines and conditions for logging a cache find on Geocaching.com apply. These caches must be physical type caches with logbooks that are listed on Geocaching.com that you have personally found. Event caches, CITOs, Earthcaches, and Virtual caches will NOT be allowed. (Events and CITOs with logbooks for attending may be presented as individuals require with a request of clemency to MAP's).

4/ Caches found prior to the creation of the "The Well-Travelled and Well Aged Cacher: SA" are definitely allowed.

5/ The posted coordinates for each cache will be used to determine which region a particular cache is located, including multi and puzzle caches.

6/ You must sign the logbook at the cache in Two Wells.

7/ To verify your claim for this challenge cache, you must submit the code of your closest placed cache, and your list of caches and their GC code for each of the required 10km radii with your 'Found' log. Any 'Found' logs that do not comply with the rules and requirements or do not provide a list of caches found for verification will be deleted.

8/ IF you have already done a Well-Travelled Challenge cache elsewhere then you may choose another of your own caches to use as the centre point, AND use completely different caches to qualify.

9/ And, please post a photo of your last birthday celebration. It would be nice.

10/ On the age issue for Teams, we propose the MAP formula This is where you double the younger persons age, add the older age, and then divide that total by THREE. For example, an Eighty year old and Fifty year old in the team - 50 x 2 = 100, + 80 = 80, divided by 3 = 60.
Please note, this applies to the ADULT members of the team, and does not count for including geokids, geodogs, or whatever, or whoever you may use to help you find caches!

The idea for this cache comes from a cache of Elin Carlson, EMC of Northridge, CA - GC2KN8Z, "The Well-Travelled Cacher (bthomas) Challenge L.A." **That is a Premium Member only cache, so I can't seem to link it**.
(With elements from the unknown, GC3CA9M, NSW State Challenge included, and obviously Grahame Cookie's caches in NT and WA)
