Friday, November 4th 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM: Invasive removal at Bur Oak Land Trust’s Pappy Dickens property! We will be working on cutting down, pulling up, and hauling out invasive species. Standing, walking, clipping, and carrying with a team of people will be the workday. A property steward will be available to guide workers in their work.
Park at the OLD Hy-Vee, which is now closed, on North Dodge. This parking lot still is used by Hy-Vee staff so there will be some cars there. This lot is also used as a local recycling center. You will see large metal containers for cardboard, plastic, glass and other recyclables.

NOTE: All volunteers are required to wear closed-toe shoes and heavy pants (like jeans). If you do not dress appropriately you will not be allowed to participate. Do not wear fleece due to the likelihood of burrs attaching to this material. Also, please bring your own water and a snack. Bring your own work gloves if you have them.
