Geocache Description:

A fun to find cache along I-95.

In 1949, Mr. Alan Schafer built a simple 18 x 36 foot beer stand known as South of the Border Beer Depot. As it adjoined the North Carolina counties, which were dry of alcoholic beverages, business boomed. A few years later a 10-seat grill was added and the business was re-named South of the Border Drive-In. “The Border”, as employees call it, has become a little town within itself. It’s unique and one-of-a-kind. Now, 67 years later we hope you will enjoy another reason - Geocaches - to stop at "The Border" where the two Carolinas meet and enjoy finding varies types of gadget caches. The caches are not park and grabs but instead a geotrail that encourages a cacher to stay a while in "The Border" and take a rest, find  few caches, and explore the area. If a tool or tott is needed it will be listed on the cache pages. Every driver at some point in time reaches the limit of their driving during the day. At this cache location you will find a n inviting to stop and rest.

Before you can log the cache you will need to find a bird in a bush.  Please replace as you found the cache for the next cacher.</div>
