During the fall and winter months of 2016-2017, King County Parks built a new trailhead parking lot on SE Mud Mountain Road, on the southwest side of Mt. Peak (Pinnacle Peak), to help eliminate the roadside parking at this popular hiking spot. There is lots of parking, a restroom, picnic tables, and a new access trail connecting to the gravel road trail. The area closes at dusk, so please, NO NIGHT CACHING!
