Penticton, from the Interior Salish word 'snpintktn', is commonly
translated as "a place to stay forever," or more accurately,
"a place where people live year-round." For over 7,000 years,
Penticton has been home to the Syilx First Peoples, who were
instrumental in helping the first European fur traders travel
through the Okanagan in the early 1800s.
Cache is a camouflaged 35mm film canister. Available all year round
unless we get a real dumping of snow. (Should be an easy find with
the hint). Bring your own Pen. NOTE: Make sure you click the the
lid all the way on, if the lid is not clicked all the way on it
makes it hard for the next cacher to recover the log.
Parking:
Northbound Traffic - Use Small Gravel Pullout.
Southbound Traffic - If the Highway is busy, make a U-turn at a
Pullout just south of the Cache.
Caution: Please keep Kids and Pets away from the Busy
Highway. - The Okanagan is a Desert, so watch out for cacti and
Rattle Snakes.
