A family-friendly cache located in Scott Park on the eastern edge of Iowa City. The cache has room for smaller items and travel bugs.
The cache is located within the park boundary. Please do not cross the fence into the nearby farm field. Please use the designated parking area in Scott Park. Parking along Scott Boulevard is prohibited. Iowa City park hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
The cache is named after the second novel (1971) in John Updike's "Rabbit" series. When Scout and Finance Guy run in this park, we often encounter hoards of rabbits frolicking along the perimeter.
We placed this cache in the winter. When the snow cover is adequate, this is a nice park for classic style cross country skiing.
We are rating the terrain a little higher due to potential tripping hazards near ground zero. Hunt this cache at your own risk, but most importantly, have fun!
