I was hiking back from Lexington View, wrapping up a sweep of
caches in the park. It was warm this afternoon and this stretch of
trail has only one spot of shade. This spot
Save this one for the uphill section of your hike if you are out
during the warm season. You will appreciate the break in the shade.
Might even work in rainy season.
Be careful of the poison oak in the area. You should be able to
get to the cache without a problem, but there are sprouts in the
area. Over time, they may spread.
