This cache is named to commemorate geo-hound Minnie's first solo outing placing caches. Sure, she has been out on lots of other geo-adventures, and even has a solo FTF under her belt (the jury is still out on how much help she was for that one), but this was her first run contributing to the community without her mentor.
Not sure if it was from the excitement, or the anxiety of being on her own, but once she dropped the cache, she just couldn't wait long enough for the GPS to fully average the hide point. She is pretty confident that any geocacher worth their salt could easily find these caches with the supplied coordinates.
As usual with most newbie hiders, both her cache hides on this run are very similar. You will be looking for camo-ed pill bottles hidden in a typical, easy, outdoor manner.
This is a favorite area for stretching all the legs, and giving the ol' schnoz a serious work-out. It even affords some nice views of the LA basin, if you are lucky. Either stock up on water before, or make sure you bring some on those warmer days. Snakes and other critters could always be in the area, so tread carefully when the conditions warrant it.
