Geocache Description:

This cache is located near the old train station in Cape Tormentine.

Back in the day this station served all rail traffic to and from PEI on the ferrys and was a bee hive of activity. When the rails were taken up it was dormant for a number of year and then the Tourist Information occupied the building for a while. It is now dormant again unfortunately (as is much of "the Cape").

Hopefully this building will be preserved somehow in the future as it would be a shame to lose such a great piece of history.

While in the area, head down the road to take a swim at the beach if weather permits.

Some great views of the Confederation bridge from this area as well.
