Grand Old Lester. You can drive all the way to the gate now
blocking the road and after that it is a nice leisurely 3 mile hike
into town. Flat smooth hard-packed road all the way in.
This is an old abandoned town (AKA Ghost town) that started out as a Rail Road town and then it was also used for logging. For more history on the town go to:

There are only 4 buildings left in the small town and a few from the old rail yard,other than that there isn't much left. Sit down near the old firepit, check out the buildings (be careful they are old in in disrepair) and imagine what it would be like during the heyday of
Lester.
