Geocache Description:

In beautiful Steep Rock Park in Washington. The terrain to the cache is pretty flat although in winter it may be icy and in the spring it is very muddy.

This is a cache in memory of my grandfather Weston Bruens who was both a long time boy scout leader in town as well as a volunteer fire fighter for many years. He has a plaque at the boy scout area in Steep Rock for all his years of devoted service to the scouts. This place has always been special to me since I grew up in this town and spent many nights sleeping under the stars at this particular sight.

The cache is a med. sized amo can filled with scout and firefighter trinkets....if at all possible I would like to keep the contents to those kinds of things but I can always restock it as needed to keep the theme alive. The origional contents included scout patches and pins, firetrucks and firemen figurines, a handy tool, knot tying guide, EMS magnets, and a fireman christmas ornament.

The origional coordinates that are on the log book and amo can were off from the ones on the day I placed the cache so please pay no mind to the fact that they are different then what you may find on your gps. Please be mindful that this area has a lot of muggle activity and stealth may be required....Please place the cache where you found it.

Happy caching!
